The chaos that is working full-time plus writing

Hello folks!  Do you ever wonder how an author who works a full-time job can still write, market and attend book signings?  Well, I am one of those authors and let me tell you it is a juggling game I have become used to.  Lol.

It can get kind of crazy, especially if you are undisciplined like me and write at your own schedule.  Since I don’t designate a set amount of hours/time per day to write, I do so when the mood strikes and in recent days, the mood has not struck.  That is the life of a pantser. It can be frustrating at times but you just have to get used to it.  You can’t do anything that does not feel right or it will go against who you are.

So, when I am not able to write, there is always time to engage in marketing/advertising and I do this, daily. Plus, I am always on the lookout for shows and signing engagements as I like to keep in contact with my readers plus meet new ones.  It is tough to weed through all that is available because there is so much out there.  I will say, though, as an author as in any other profession, you have to be careful when choosing new venues, etc. because not all of them are genuine.  So many have been scammed in the hopes of something new.  Just be careful.
